Overview

As a Founding product designer at Ignition, a leader in digital solutions with a focus on innovative marketing and branding strategies, I played a pivotal role in not only redesigning the user interface, brand and experience of the Ignition platform but also in securing critical funding that has propelled the company forward.

My dual contributions have helped in significantly increasing user engagement and satisfaction, while also ensuring the financial stability and growth potential of the company.

The challenge was twofold: enhancing the platform's usability and aesthetics to improve user engagement and satisfaction, and simultaneously, attracting investors to secure additional funding for the company.

The platform needed a design overhaul to simplify the user journey, and Ignition required a compelling narrative and visual presentation to convince investors of its value and potential.

The Process

The Process

Research & Analysis: Engaged in comprehensive user research to identify needs and pain points, coupled with market analysis to position Ignition attractively to investors.

  1. Design & Prototyping: Led the redesign efforts to develop a more intuitive and visually appealing interface. Utilized tools like Figma for high-fidelity prototyping, ensuring the new design resonated with both users and potential investors.

  2. Investor Materials Preparation: Crafted detailed sales and investor pitch decks, showcasing Ignition’s market potential, user engagement strategies, and the impact of the proposed design enhancements. My role involved close collaboration with the marketing and executive teams to align the narratives with business goals and market opportunities.

  3. User Testing & Feedback Incorporation: Conducted iterative testing sessions with users to refine the design, ensuring it met their needs and expectations, thereby strengthening our case for potential investors.

  4. Implementation & Funding Campaign: Worked alongside the development team to implement the redesign, and played a key role in the presentation and negotiation process with potential investors, leading to successful funding rounds.
